Hello there, everybody!
How are you doing? While I was re-reading my post on French Tests for the Quebec province, I was struck with another subject that interested me a lot when I was a First Year: how to prepare myself for the Work Force.
Here is what little information I have gathered since I’ve started the program, and from what I’ve gathered from a few websites. Please note that these are subject to change depending on where exactly you will be teaching, and when exactly you are reading this. One of my friends, for example, told me that the expectations changed drastically one year after she was hired in the school board.
If you prefer to look at the information for yourself:
If you’re looking to work at the:

In summary, here are some of the things I’ve gathered:
- CV (of course?)
- Brevet d’enseignement (which you can obtain from any teaching bachelor’s program, but here’s also more information on where you can get this).
- At the very least, you can prove that you are in an education/teaching program at University by providing your transcripts.
- French test (TECFÉE, SEL or CÉFRANC), but, as I mentioned before in my French test post, the TECFEE is much preferred.
- Police Check
- OFFICIAL Grades Transcripts from anything after high school.
- CEGEP
- University
- Certificates
I hope this was somewhat helpful to you!
Good luck!
