Good evening, everybody,
How are you all doing? That’s right, from the title of this already, I guess you could guess what this post is going to be about – not about TESL, which in the title of this blog?! I’m sorry to disappoint you. I’m realizing while I’m scheduling these that a lot of these posts will not be related to TESL, so I’m going to be trying to interspace these posts with TESL-related posts.

What is it?

Social Studies Games

ABCYa is a free website (at least, as far as I can see from my navigation on this website as of the writing of this post) that I discovered while looking for mathematics games. From their about page, it seems like they also have an app!

However, I feel like there are actually more than that on this website. Indeed, there are different school subjects that you can look at this website for – mostly for PreK to elementary school from what I’ve seen.

Math Games

The way I see it, there are four ways of categorizing the website’s activities:

• Grade level (Pre-K to Grade 6+);
• Subjects (Art & Music Games, Language Arts Games, Math Games, Multiplication Games, Science Games, Social Studies Games, Typing Games and Writing Games);
• Themes (car games, cat games, animal games, food games, story games, robot games, sports games, retro games, space games and money games);
• Genres (bingo games, crossword games, hunt games, multiplayer games, platformer games, puzzle games, racing games and word search games).

At any rate, I quite enjoyed this website and I hope you will too!
