Book Centre

November 6th, 2020

Good morning, everybody!
How are you doing? I trust this post finds you in good spirits and health! If not, I’m rooting for you all. Everything is gonna be all right (I hope)! Hang in there!

Today, during SPEAQ 2020, we were talking about book recommendations, and someone brought up in the chat this particular website: The Canadian Children’s Book Centre.

I spent some time on the website and I must say it is pretty nice and connected. It has a Twitter handle: KidsBookCentre, a Facebook page, a YouTube Channel with a bunch of interviews, a Pinterest board, even a GOODREADS! (I barely ever see goodreads on any media, this is awesome), and an Instagram!

This is a non-profit organization that gives more exposure to Canadian authors and children’s books. They publish issues that list novels and books for different age and levels for children. They even have different themes, which is what I zeroed on as I was exploring the website today, from LGBTQ+ books for teens to Asian Culture and Heritage, I thought it was very interesting.

There are so many awesome finds on this particular website, but I will let you explore for more!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this website as much as I have!
Take good care of yourselves!
