Visnos Visual Numbers Mathematics

November 8th, 2020

Hello there, everybody!
I hope you all are doing well, and that this 2023 is not looking too difficult to live through. I have no idea what my life will be like in 2023, but I hope it is doing well(?). At any rate, rather than being scared for the time you will be receiving this, let’s focus on the website that I want to share with you today!

What is it?

This website, Visnos, gives you access to free interactive games which students can play with in order to better visualize certain math concepts.

What do they offer?

addition subtraction facts screenshotAs of the writing of this post, for example, on their desmos page, they have fractions, clocks, angles, percentages and decimals, polygon explorers, multiplications tables, exploration of pi and the circumference, etc.

I thought it was extremely interesting to use, because some students learn better as they explore certain math principles, and some others just visualize better as they manipulate things. It really helps to be able to give students these kinds of tools, to better differentiate with students’ needs.

Happy exploring!
Do you have more websites like these that you would recommend?
Please don’t hesitate to tell me!
