Good morning, all!
I hope you are doing well, and that you are taking good care of yourselves. I’m not sure where I would be in 2023, but I really do hope that I’m doing well or at least hanging in there.
Future Me, you’ve got this! Hang in there!
Anyways, on one of the forums that I follow, someone introduced us to this particular website and I wanted to share it with you.
What is this and what does it do for me?
This website is free of use and of course, you could pay for premium, it is called Puzzel. As its name implies, you can create multiple kinds of puzzles using this website, and you can share it with your students. The students can either have fun with images or they can explore and manipulate words, which I think could be fun for them, for sure. Here are the types of puzzles you can do as far as I know from the writing of this:
- Crossword Puzzle
- You could make them read definitions or synonyms and ask them to find the proper words.
- Word Search
- Exploration of words, or can we actually make them find the words based on definitions?
- Jigsaw
- Maybe you can hide a message in an image and have them find the message?
- Word Scramble
- Even more word manipulations
- Quiz
- Showing you that they understand the notions viewed in the quiz!
- Acrostic
- Maybe there could be a code?
- Matching Pairs
- Quartets Game
- Memory Game
- Sliding Puzzle
- Scavenger Hunt
- This can be even more fun with older students who understand the concept!
- Cryptogram
- This could be fun!
I hope this was useful to you all,
Have a great month!
