Hi everybody,
How’s it going? Hope you’re doing well! Just as I was thinking: Wow, I haven’t touched my blog in SO LONG, I found something very interesting while looking for some texts for my students and of course, it was time to open up the o’ blog and to write something, so… here goes…
What is it?
S.O.S. Sécuro is a website (link here, same link as the image) for elementary school students mostly made by the Ministry of Public Safety in Québec to help parents and teachers explain a few things about public safety.
This website features a bunch of texts that are easy to understand for different grades of students (from grade 1 to grade 6).
A potential con of this is that a few texts from grade 1 to grade 6 will repeat themselves (like the presentation of the family for example). Another con could be that the website sometimes has broken links or error pages, which is not fun to get when you want to get some information.
They have different kinds of activities as well: like quizzes from the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Montréal for example.
As a teacher, you can also access something interesting in the form of exercises (math, sciences, french, univers social (history, geography), visual arts, etc.) and corrections of these exercises (link).
That’s it out of me today,
Have a nice one and see you next month/week!
